When you purchase from us
If you purchase a dress or accessories from us, we will take some personal information in order to process the sale. This includes, name, address, email address and telephone number. We will use this data for internal administrative purposes, and to arrange appointments, deliveries and to deal with queries during the course of the order. Whilst we will retain your details for ease of future orders, we will not use these details to send you marketing literature without your explicit consent for the data to be used for this purpose.
We are legally able to hold and process this data for the purposes of fulfilment of your sales contract with us.
If you visit our website
Our website uses cookies to ensure your online experience is as smooth as possible, and to provide us with feedback about how our website is being used. The information we store is based on your browser settings (what device you are viewing the website on, where you are geographically, how long you spend on the site) and isn’t tied to any personally identifiable information (such as your name). Direct Marketing
During each season we may want to tell you about new collections, sales or events. To do this we may use your name, postal or email address and telephone number. You must have freely given your consent for us to do this, and we will hold records of this consent being sought and granted.
Here at Serendipity Brides we take your privacy very seriously and we’d like to reassure you that we will only hold this data if you have actively consented for us to do so, and you can opt out at any time (see ‘Access to your personal information’).
Email Marketing
If you have signed up to receive our monthly marketing email, we collect personal information from you including your name and email address. We use that information to send you a regular e-newsletter in which we share news about our brides, new collections and lots of exciting and inspirational stories from Serendipity Brides.
We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. We may also transfer your email address to Facebook to create interest-based ads via their Custom Audience tool. No personal information is shared with Facebook as emails are hashed and anonymised.
You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing enquiries@serendipitybrides.co.uk.
Third Party Providers
We will not sell or rent your information to third parties.
Third Party Service Providers working on our behalf: We may pass your information to our third party service providers, agents, subcontractors and other associated organisations for the purposes of completing tasks and providing services to you on our behalf. However, when we use third party service providers, we disclose only the personal information that is necessary to deliver the service. We will not release your information to third parties beyond this or for direct marketing purposes, unless you have requested us to do so, or we are required to do so by law, for example, by a court order or for the purposes of prevention of fraud or other crime.
